Exposure is a virtual reality installation that immerses the observer in a future now submerged in water, in which there is no animal or vegetable form, but creatures that represent an evolutionary phase of the technologies produced and nurtured by human beings in our present. A new species that has managed to transform everything artificial and harmful to the planet into organic bodies capable of maintaining the planet’s balance. To access this dimension, the observer physically enters a display case, from which he is observed by the new inhabitants of the Earth as if he were in a hypothetical museum of the future, where the human being is archival material on display. The focal point of the project is the relationship between body and space in a reality somewhere between real and virtual. The physical object represented by the display case becomes a bridge that materially connects the two dimensions, finding in the sense of touch contact between what is perceived and what is seen in the viewer.
